Abu Dhabi

An ICT Officer is required to work for a large Oil & Gas company based in Abu Dhabi on a permanent basis.

As the ICT Officer, you will be reporting to the IT/TLC Infrastructure Coordinator and will be responsible for providing troubleshooting and support to the teams within the office, including procurement, finance, general services and HSE. You will also be responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s hardware and software provisions

Main responsibilities:

• As the ICT Officer, you will ensure the availability of IT services and tools to all stakeholders.

• Monitor the status of IT infrastructure and networks.

• Primary point of contact for help desk support, troubleshooting user’s problems as required.

• As the ICT Officer, you will install company software and hardware as required.

• Assist with the implementation of ICT policies and their adoption by users.

• Support cybersecurity related projects.

• Cooperate with other IT teams across the region as well as with HQ in Milan.

Skills and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline.

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar IT support/coordination role.

• As the ICT Officer, you will have experience with Windows OS, including basic installation and configurations, build preparation, managing group policies and fundamentals of Active Directory.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure.

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365.

• As the ICT Officer, you will have experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms.

• Knowledge of ITIL fundamentals.

• Detailed-oriented, autonomous, with a problem-solving mindset.

• Strong communication and team working skills

• Fluent level of English and Arabic
